ICEI is thrilled to announce the promotion of Sally Awad Asfour to Deputy Executive Director. “In recent years, Sally has played a key role in driving ICEI’s remarkable expansion within Arab society,” says Lior Brown, Chair of the ICEI Board of Directors. “I am confident that she will continue to lead with vision and professionalism as we navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
Sally joined ICEI six years ago, launching a pilot program in 3 Arab schools. Since then, she has been instrumental in the organization’s growth in Arab schools, establishing major initiatives like Qalam and Tamkin, ICEI’s first Joint Venture with the Ministry of Education.
At a recent ICEI Principals’ Forum, Sally shared her vision for ICEI’s future: “We must educate for a shared society – not as a slogan, but as a plan of action. In a diverse society like ours, schools are the key to advancement and a better future for Arabs and Jews alike.”
“Sally has been a visionary partner as well as a leader,” said ICEI Executive Director Don Futterman. “Her leadership has strengthened our relationships with the Ministry and other key partners, helping to expand ICEI’s reach and deepen its impact.”
Please join us in celebrating Sally’s well-earned promotion—onward and upward!
